Join us for Rewritten, our Season 15 opener, where CAI's past and future meet in a single evening. Dale Trumbore's “I Am Music,” CAI's very first commissioned work, opens the program as a reminder of the artistic conviction this organization was founded on. Ethan Soledad's “A Thing That Wants Virginia” receives its world premiere, carrying that same spirit of discovery forward. Nina Shekhar's “Blush” makes its West Coast debut, bringing new color and texture to the program, and Christopher Cerrone's “Wind Phone, Goleta, CA,” scored for chorus and string quartet, closes the evening in its own West Coast premiere. These works, along with others, reimagine tradition -- honoring where we've been while reaching toward what's next.
