Resonant presents Sacred and Profane - a varied program of unaccompanied choral music that explores the human experience from love to pain and from chapel to the great outdoors. Each new song has a paired counterpart. For example, we pair Afternoon on a Hill, by living composer Colin Britt, with Rheinberger’s Abendlied. Both evoke a wonderment for nature and our heartfelt connection with it. Other composer pairings include Thomas Weelkes and Diana Woolner, Elaine Hagenberg and Jacob Handl, Pablo Casals and R.
